Style
With the goal of creating mindful, soulful and healthful change, I draw on a variety of styles of therapy to find a language that feels right to you. Some of these styles include: Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Narrative Therapy, and many more.
My style is warm, directive and trauma informed. I offer tools and processes to help you get "unstuck" from challenges, unproductive worry, and looping patterns. Together we will explore and address the deeper roots of self-sabotaging behavior, negative self-talk and debilitating emotions.
I have been practicing psychotherapy in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 10 years. In addition to my practice, I am an adjunct faculty member at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I work as a professor in the Masters in Counseling Psychology Program.

Anxiety, Trauma and Attachment
Exhausted from worrying about how your words or actions might have made someone feel?
Self-Care not happening enough?
People-Pleasing?
Constantly putting forth 110% of your energy into your work, friendships or love life and getting little recognition?
Continuously feeling hurt, rejected or anxious with your partner or when dating?
Tired of chasing? Lonely?
Our work will aim to help repair anxiety from relational trauma such as a difficult childhood, an abusive parent, or toxic dynamics with an employer, spouse, or peer or from everyday life stressors.
Our focus can also be single-event trauma, helping you to get back to feeling like yourself after a traumatic event or period in your life. This might involve helping with panic, sleep disturbance, low mood, poor self-esteem and difficulty trusting yourself, others or the world.
Couples
Feeling stuck in a cycle of the same arguments, problems and hurt spots?
Has a life event changed the dynamics of your relationship?
Feeling rejected, undervalued or unappreciated by your spouse or partner?
Facing challenges that strain your relationship?
My work with couples is attachment-oriented. This means that we will look at the dynamic between you as partners and the triggers that threaten your relationship. Rooted in neuroscience and developmental psychology, we will aim to understand the relational injuries sustained in your current and formative relationships so to focus on creating the repairative experiences you both need to feel loved, secure, respected, and cherished.
All couples welcome, regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression.
Eating Disorders and Chronic Dieting
Food feeling out of control?
Stuck in a cycle of overeating and compensating?
Is your relationship with food impacting your health, social world or ability to enjoy life?
I work with clients struggling from all types of disordered eating including Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, and Other Eating Disorders. Together our goal will be to establish healthy self-care with food and develop a profound respect for your body.
*clients must be medically stable and regularly monitored by their physician.
Sports and Athletic Performance
Hit a performance plateau?
Lost the love and enthusiasm you once had for your sport?
Rattled by a fall or unfortunate event?
Struggling with feeling pressure to win or meet your goals?
Injured and making a transition?
As a former professional dancer and personal trainer, I enjoy working with athletes to achieve their goals and overcome psychological obstacles getting in the way.
